Speak aloud while the video is playing and try to explain what is happening. Mention the nouns, try to use the correct verb and see where your gaps are!
Cartoon 1: Stung By a Giant Wasp
We see a woman walking through the park. A wasp then appeared and started flying towards her. She panics and tries to swot it away. Unfortunately the wasp lands on her hand and stings her! She then sucks the venom out and spits it out. Once again the wasp comes back! This time it stings her on her neck. She attempts to reach the sting with her tongue but can’t. A guy comes along and she asks him to help her get the venom out. He agrees, but it turns out that he’s actually a vampire and after sucking on her, her blood starts pouring out of her neck! He then turns into a bat and flys away!
Cartoon 2: The hottest day of the year
We see a residential area where everyone is outside on their balconies sweating. One guy tries to cool himself down with a wet cloth. He then wrings it out on his plant to try and keep it alive. We can see some residents are jealous looking at a guy who’s got a parasol. A woman is panting and sitting out in front of a fan to cool down. She gets thirsty and goes inside to grab some water. While she was filling her glass up, her floor caught fire. She tried chucking some water on the flames, but it wasn’t enough water. She goes out to her balcony to escape the flames. A fireman is on his way. He pulls up but fills up a swimming pool for the residents rather than putting out the fire of the woman’s apartment. She ends up being burnt to a crisp!
Cartoon 3: Zits
We see a woman and a zit appears on her nose. She then attempts to pop the zit, but another one appears on her cheek. It’s the same story for her chin and her head. She’s finally finished popping her zits and then the camera zooms out, and we see that she’s actually at dinner on a date with a guy who’s covered in her pus!
Cartoon 4: The worst magician in the world
We see an audience and a stage and they’re giving a round of applause to the magician. The magician begins by pulling a rabbit out of his hat.. but the rabbit is dead. He then tries to swallow a sword, but once again he messed up the trick. The magician cracks on to his next trick, which is a card trick. He asks a lady in the audience to come up and draw a card from the deck while he closes his eyes. She pulls the ace of hearts and puts it back in the deck. The magician then shuffles the cards and reveals what he thinks is her card. Unfortunately he gets it totally wrong. Angrily, the woman walks off but slips on the dead rabbit. She then hits the sword and it went flying up into the air and landed on her! She then gets rushed to the hospital. The doctor is about to stitch her up when she realises something is inside the woman. She reaches into her wound and takes out the card that was previously drawn from the deck! We then see the audience who are applauding the magician!
Cartoon 5: Heart Transplant
We see a man in the hospital, and his life support machine has just flat-lined, and the man has passed away. Next we see that he’s in the morgue and a pathologist is harvesting his organs. She cuts him open, takes out his heart and chucks it in a box. A delivery guy then grabs the box and sets off in a hurry on his delivery. The route is pretty dangerous looking, with bendy roads on a cliff edge. He inevitably falls off the cliff but manages to navigate down the mountain to a fancy rural hospital. The delivery driver delivers the heart and the other doctor puts his patient to sleep, cuts him open and is about to perform the heart transplant. However, he looks in the box and the heart is missing! He looks over at the chef who cuts the heart up, confusing it for meat!
Cartoon 6: Save Mankind
We see a man sitting on a park bench reading a newspaper. He looks up and sees a UFO. He points at it to alert everyone. The spaceship lands, and everyone gathers around with welcome signs, ready to greet their guests. It appears that a friendly-looking alien gets off the ship and everyone is pleased. However, the alien then pulls out a gun, which worries everyone, and they run away. Anarchy unfolds as they believe this is the end of the world! -They start looting and vandalising. We then see the alien using his gun at the funfair to shoot at targets. He wins a bear, gets back on his ship and leaves while the city is on fire and people are dead!
Cartoon 7: A Witch Western
We see a bar in the wild west where people are chatting away. We then see a witch drinking at the bar. An angry man comes in and holds up a picture of the witch. One of the guys in the bar points at the witch, and the angry man makes his way over to her. Seeing this, the witch takes out her magic wand and swaps bodies with a sad guy at the bar. The angry guy then presents the witch with a check for $1,000,000! The witch gets her photo taken while a sheriff appears and pulls out a wanted poster which matches the guy at the bar. He then hangs him!
Cartoon 8: The Evil Prison Guard
We see a prison full of convicts. 2 prison guards come in with food and offer it to one of the prisoners. But when the prisoner tries to grab the food, the guard whacks him on the hand with his baton. They then walk over to another prisoner and offer him food. This time, they give it to him. When the prisoner takes the lid off, he sees that there is poo inside. The guards move on to the next prisoner, where they show him a love letter. The prisoner is excited at first, but then the cruel guard lights the letter on fire, destroying it! After that, the guard takes one of the prisoners out of his cell and sits him down in the electric chair. He pulls the lever even though his colleague tries to warn him that it’s the wrong one! Of course, the electric chair doesn’t work, and the doors of the prisoners’ cells open, and now the prisoners are ready to take revenge!
Cartoon 9: Snow White Part 2
We see Snow White and the 7 dwarves all sitting at the table. There’s a knock at the door, and Snow White goes to see who it is. She opens the door and a witch is standing there with an apple. Snow White eats the apple, which poisons her, and the witch runs away. The dwarves gather around her and realise she’s dead. They put her in a coffin. The prince turns up to their house, and one of the dwarves shows him to Snow White. Unfortunately though, someone had the bright idea of filling it with water and keeping fish in it! They’ve completely devoured Snow White’s body!
Cartoon 10: Gnomes
We see a gnome who spots something. He walks over to what appears to be a carrot. He takes a little chunk and eats it. He then calls his mates over to get in on the action! After that, he sees some chicken and tucks into that too! All of a sudden, everything starts shaking! Some giant brown sludge heads right for them! It turns out that someone is doing a poo and the gnomes get washed away into the toilet bowl before being flushed by the man!
