Practice Exercise 1- Paraphrasing
Task: Choose the phrasal verb that fits as a substitute for what is highlighted.

Practice Exercise 4- Interpret the Story
Task: Look at the pictures and say aloud what is happening using the phrasal verbs you’ve learnt. For example, in the first picture, the guy is binging on some ice-cream.




Answer
The guy is binging on ice-cream, realises that he has to cut down on junk food and looks up gyms in his area.
He checks out the gym equipment, bumps/runs into someone and works out with a personal trainer.
He then meets up with a someone, walks around the city, and it seems that he gets on well with him.
When he’s home, he gets rid of his junk food, looks after the dog by feeding it and chills out on the sofa with a book.
Practice Exercise 5- Write your own Sentences
Task: Write your own sentences using the phrasal verbs. Think of either real examples which happened recently or vivid examples. For example, I came across a cool website about music this morning.
