Rita’s Great Trek

We start off by seeing a bull eating some grass in the wild west! There’s a man hanging up his laundry while his daughter is stacking some stones. The man pulls his bull over to the tree and ties him up, while the child drinks her milk. The dog seems to be taking a nap. The man then starts to head off with his gun and basket, but his daughter wants to go with him. He’s having none of it and sends her back.

We now see the little girl hanging out with the dog. She’s actually stacked some stones on the dog’s nose! All of a sudden she hears a noise. The bush starts to shake. The little girl starts to worry and tries to wake the dog up, but it’s no use! She has to deal with it herself and whips out her catapult/slingshot. She fires a shot at the bush, but it bounces off the tree and hits the bull, and the bull goes crazy. He starts freaking out, knocking things over and running all over the show! Meanwhile, the man is down by the river washing the clothes in peace. The bull now rams the wagon which makes it roll away. The dog wakes up briefly.. and then falls back to sleep! The bull stops for a moment and tucks into the spilt milk.

The little girl helplessly watches as the wagon rolls down the hill. She then imagines the trouble she’d be in if the wagon is destroyed. She snaps out of her daydream by the bull who licks her and rolls the jar of milk toward her. He sits down in front of her hoping she’ll open the jar for him. It looks like they’ve made a deal. The bull pulls the wagon back up the hill, and the little girl shares her milk with the bull. She then gets to work to clean up the mess that the bull made. The man arrives back at the camp and is quite surprised by how tidy everything is. The little girl and the bull then strut past him looking very chuffed. The closing scene is of the man chilling out while the little girl and bull play fetch at sunset.
