Starting at minute 0:40, we can see Shaun doing some keepy-uppies/ kick-ups with a ball. He even catches it on his neck. His mate joins him and asks him to pass him the ball. Shaun flicks it up and heads the ball to him, and his mate does an overhead/bicycle kick. Unfortunately he kicks it away. Shaun looks upset/ gutted/ disappointed/ annoyed, while his buddy has a big silly grin on his face!

Shaun goes and gets it anyway, and as he picks up his ball, he hears a noise coming from the hen house/ chicken coop. Shaun is intrigued and decides to check/suss it out. He takes a look inside and sees some eggs are hatching. We can see the newly-hatched chicks are fond of Shaun and start climbing up him. Shaun tries to push them off him, but they’re pretty persistent, so he eventually puts a bucket over them. He then backs away out of the shed, shuts the chicken coop door, and when he turns around, there they are! He throws/chucks them in the coop once again and runs away!

Shaun bumps into them again, and they continue chasing after him. He attempts to hide behind other the sheep, but the chicks are very good at tracking him down! Shaun then gets/climbs into a chest, but of course the chicks somehow got in!

Next, we see the mother hen arriving back to check in on her chicks. After a moment or two, she suddenly realises that her chicks are gone! She frantically looks for them! Now we see a dog leaning against a tree, ready to tuck into/have his lunch. He opens up his lunchbox and finds the chicks inside. He’s not happy and goes over to Shaun, who’s hiding in the bin, and leaves the chicks back with him! It looks like Shaun is about to go crazy/lose it!

We now see the mother hen putting up posters/signs of her missing eggs and searching for them late into the evening. It’s night time now, and Shaun is sleeping in the barn with the chicks with him! Meanwhile, the mother hen is outside still looking for them with a torch. It’s the morning now, and it looks like poor old Shaun didn’t get a wink of sleep! We see the farm dog doing his duties by counting all the sheep/ checking all the sheep are there. Shaun is last and looks absolutely wrecked/shattered! We can see the mother hen asking around to see if any of the farm animals have seen her eggs.

Shaun is standing in the middle of the field, and it looks like he’s having a mental breakdown! He snaps and tries to get rid of the chicks once and for all! He chucks/puts/throws them into a container, chains it up, puts it in a chest, and throws/chucks it into a barn, which he locks as well. Just when he thinks he’s finally free, he runs/bumps into the rest of the animals. The dog tells the chicken that it’s Shaun who had her chicks. Panicking now, he quickly runs back to get the chicks, but they’ve gotten away! He suddenly hears them chirping and he when he looks over the hedge, he sees them just looking at a butterfly!
It’s not over yet though! A van is coming straight for the chicks! Shaun quickly grabs them before they get run over and returns them to the mother hen. The chicks think Shaun is their mother, so they don’t go to the hen, so she starts crying. The dog has an idea though- he notices that the chicks will follow Shaun’s wool, so they knit the hen some clothing made from it! Shaun does without his woolly coat that night and embraces his hot water bottle!
